How often does a plaintiff win a medical malpractice trial?
How much money does the plaintiff win?
Research conducted and published by the New York Jury Verdict Reporter graphically depicts that plaintiffs lose
medical malpractice cases more often than they win them. Plaintiffs have a higher percentage of losses in some places than others as well. Even the amount of a jury award can differ greatly from one place of trial to another,
both within the city and in the suburbs.
We are grateful to the New York Jury Verdict Reporter for allowing us to republish their research here.
